What we do
Uncrewed systems program development
Most agencies start with a mandate and no program. We write the concept of operations, select the aircraft and payloads, and produce the documentation that gets it approved. You end up with a capability your command structure can absorb.
Search and rescue operations
We fly thermal and infrared search patterns, day or night, and report to your incident commander in the format they already use. Search managers get another set of eyes and no extra problem to manage.
Training and instruction
We build and deliver ground school, flight training, and sensor operator courses, then run the recurrent scenarios that keep crews current. The syllabus comes from your own mission set.

The operator
Brandyn Steele runs Steele Aerospace from Kelowna, British Columbia.
Until August 2026 he was Director of SAR and Special Operations at Hummingbird Drones, where he built the national training program and ran multi-agency integration for public safety operators across Canada and the United States.
He designed and delivered courses for search and rescue teams, fire departments, and police agencies, covering advanced mapping, thermal interpretation, and crew coordination. He wrote each one to fit the emergency response frameworks those agencies already work inside, and to meet the regulations they fly under.
He also ran Hummingbird's joint work with defence, aerospace, and government partners: research, prototype testing, and Industrial and Technological Benefits commitments that put new aviation technology into first responder hands.
He incorporated the company in British Columbia in 2026 to take that work on directly.
